Settling in

14/01/18 - Settling in

Well its been a while since my last blog post, but I've been settling in & getting used to my new home and my mummy and daddy.

I had a trip to Birmingham to see my Auntie Val and I tried to be good, I missed my puppy pads a couple of times, but I had fun and I was very good in the car, I quite like travelling in the car, it give me time to have a sleep!

I'm getting better at using my puppy pads, but sometimes I forget what I'm doing & miss or go somewhere where's there's no pad. Mind you if a do it on the pad I get a treat, I have to sit for it, which was a pain at first, but now I know what to do it's easy!!

I'm not too keen on outside, cos sometimes there's a dog that barks & I get a bit scared & run inside, but apart from that the garden is quite nice.

I have been taken to the vets not once but TWICE!!! I mean what's that all about? It wasn't just to say "meet Nacho he's gorgeous" oh no. They stuck a needle in me both times!!! I admit it I yelled both times, I mean you would wouldn't you? Nasty vet!

I have lots of toys to play with & I try to get round them all in a day, well you have to make an effort don't you?

Then my mummy bought me a toy box to put my toys in. Well I actually find that as much fun to play with as my toys!!

I feel really happy in my new home, & mummy & daddy say that in a week or so I'll be able to go for a walk. Not sure that that means, but if it means wearing that horrid harness thing, I won't be impressed! I also overheard the vet mention something about puppy training classes - now that doesn't sound much fun either, but we'll see.

One good thing no more baths yet, I'm hoping they've forgotten about them.

Mummy & daddy go to something called work now during the week, but mummy always comes home at lunchtime to feed me & play with me, & then daddy is home not long after she has gone back. So I don't really mind, I get a good sleep so that when they come home I'm wide awake & they have to play with me for hours!!!

I don't mind bed time either, I have my own room with a play pen & bed in it, & I go to bed at the same time as mummy & daddy, & sleep right through until it's time to get up. I have learned to go upstairs too, which I don't think mummy is too keen on, but I can't go downstairs as it looks a bit scary!!
